What is a Pack Adventure ?

I take groups of dogs hiking at local trails or beaches where they will have fun while tapping on their primal instincts, practicing  basic commands, recall training and good outdoor manners. 

-What is the difference between our Structured Pack Adventures and other types of dog walking services?

Because of my long time experience with different types of dog temperaments, breeds and behavioral characteristics I am able to offer a more tailored service that includes proper introduction to other dogs, proper socialization, practicing basic commands, recall training and the most important, my commitment to help your dog to develop confidence, better outdoor social skills and behavior.

• First step is for us to schedule a Meet  & Greet to initiate your dog’s behavior & temperament assessment. Together we can decide if pack adventures are a good fit for your dog or discuss other options like individual hiking services.  This appointment is free of charge. 

• First Time Pack Adventure: I’ll take your dog up for an adventure, alone or with a small number of dogs. During that activity I’ll observe your dog’s reactions around other animals, people and distractions at the trails for a more detailed behavior assessment. I’ll take pictures and videos to share with you. Based on the results of that experience I will make suggestions and you will be able to decide if you’d like to enroll your dog on our Pack Adventures program. If pack adventures is not the best option for your dog we can also plan for individual hikes and field trips.

- Pack Adventures Routine:

We take the dogs on adventures at the trails or at the beach. We exercise, socialize, practice basic commands and recall, on leash and long lines. Dogs are offered water and plenty of treats. 

Experience:

I have an extensive and diverse experience working with dogs, from pets, working dog breeds , show dogs, working and managing Boarding & Training facilities, assisting at Veterinarian clinics, and almost 10 years offering Pack Adventures between other personalized pet services.

Safety: 

I’m Pet First Aid & CPR certified and insured. I have a deep knowledge on how to avoid and how to handle possible dog to dog aggression accidents.  I follow a very strict safety protocol that includes behavior assessment & slow introduction of new dogs. We also have GPS tracking devices for new dogs and all our recall exercises are done on long lines . 

That’s how we have been keeping our fur babies safe for almost 10 years of offering Pack Adventures. 

Priority:

My love for dogs goes above and beyond offering affection. I’m truly passionate about providing the best care possible to every dog that I meet. Your dog’s mental and physical needs always come first and I’ll always advocate for them.
 

Philosophy:

I believe that each dog is different and it is very important for me to get to know each one of them through personal observation of their general behavior, to build a close relationship nurtured with affection, trust and clear communication. I respect each dog’s individual nature and take it in consideration when catering for their needs. I believe in giving dogs the necessary time and space to bond with me  till a point they trust me and show the desire to work with me. Training exercises strengthen the bond between a dog and its handler by building trust and cooperation. Dogs learn best when they receive clear and consistent cues and rewards. I always focus on figuring out what is the most valuable reward for each dog. I try different types of reward approaches including high quality treats, affection, praise and play to find the one that motivates each dog the most.
